B.A. Rolfe

(October 24th 1879 - April 23th 1956)

Benjamin Albert Rolfe was born in Brasher, New York in 1879 to a father who was a musical director. A child prodigy he toured Europe and the Eastern United States billed as the "The Boy Trumpet Wonder".

After working a variety of engagements as a performer Rolfe became a band director like his father before him in 1926, leading of his own assembly at a Broadway cabaret called the "Palais D'Or".
