*"Do What You Do" was composed by George Gershwin, Gus Kahn, and Ira Gershwin.
The song "Do What You Do" was introduced in the Broadway musical "Show Girl" produced by Florenz Ziegfeld. The show ran from July 2nd to October 5th 1929. Musical numbers presented in the production featured lyrics by Ira Gershwin and Gus Kahn, set to the music of George Gershwin. Warner Brothers had made a film version of the musical in 1928, as well as a 1930 sequel "Show Girl in Hollywood" both staring Alice White as the main character Dixie Dugan.
