Roaring Through the '20s Part 3
(1975 Public TV Special)
Feat. The New Black Eagle Jazz Band
The final part of 1975 WGBH Public TV special "Roaring Through the '20s" hosted by Bobby Short, also features the "New Black Eagle Jazz Band" with Tony Pringle cornet & leader, Stan Vincent trombone, Stan McDonald clarinet & soprano sax, Bob Pilsbury piano, Peter Bullis banjo, Eli Newberger tuba, and Pam Pameijer drums.
Upon completion of a solo performance at the keys Bobby Short sings a catchy number backed by the "New Black Eagles". He goes on to feature a performance clip from the new (1927) Al Jolson 'talkie' "The Jazz Singer", that is all the rage. The band then proceed to play two more numbers before being joined by Short for the "Tiger Rag".
