New Black Eagle Jazz Band

A New England based traditional jazz assembly founded in 1971 by former members of the "Black Eagle Jazz Band" led by Tommy Sancton (organized in 1969). The "New Black Eagles" played their first gig on September 30th 1971 and by October of that year had become the house band at the Sticky Wicket Pub in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The band's original members would include Tony Pringle cornet, Stan Vincent trombone, Stan MacDonald clarinet & soprano sax, Bob Pilsbury piano, Eli Newberger tuba, and Pam Pameijer drums.

This group proudly still features many of its original members with only two significant changes. In 1980 Stan MacDonald left the band followed more recently by Eli Newberger in 2001.
