Nestled on Crawford Avenue about midway between Madison Street and The Lake Street Elevated (or Lake Branch) beginning in the early 1920's the house band for the establishment was directed by saxophonist Jules Herbuveaux.
Although he doesn't appear on this record in 1924 a fourteen year old Benny Goodman would begin his professional music career holding down a steady gig with the Guyon's Paradise band.
