Feat. Franklyn Baur
This record was produced in New York City on October 14th 1927 featuring Franklyn Baur vocals, Johnny Johnson piano & director, with unknown cornet, trombone, saxophones, violin, bass, tuba, banjo, bass, and drums.
*"Together We Two" was composed by Irving Berlin
While attending Indiana University Johnny Johnson started playing piano in local clubs and formed a moderately successful band that included Jack Teagarden and Red Nichols, and featured popular vocalists. Then in 1926 he disbanded the group after accepting a position with the "Ben Bernie Orchestra". But Johnny didn't work for Bernie long, in 1927 the pianist organized the "Statler Pennsylvanians". Although he continued to make records well into the 1930's, Johnny Johnson would never achieve any great degree of commercial success.
