It's All Gone Now
Down Home Boys
A Hokum Farewell
This recording was produced in Chicago on December 10th 1929 featuring Alex Hill piano & vocals, and 'Banjo' Ikey Robinson guitar & vocals.
It was to be one of the last sides that these men would record as a hokum duo. Both musicians went on to work with Sammy Stewart's popular New York based jazz band after this session. Discographical evidence suggests that Alex Hill may have already been touring with Stewart at the time of this recording.
