Recorded in Richmond, Indiana on July 19th 1928 with Baldy McDonald clarinet, unknown alto sax, W.E. Burton speech, Jimmy Blythe piano, Bill Johnson string bass, and Cliff Jones drums.

*"Someday You'll Know" was written by Jimmy Blythe.

Jimmy Blythe's beloved "State Street Ramblers" appear as "Blythe's Blue Boys" on this Champion label release.

Prominently featuring the reed work of Baldy McDonald the clarinetist is later joined by a mystery saxophone content with remaining in a strictly supportive role.

According to discography records although W.E. Buddy Burton was present for this session he is not the drummer.
