Feat. Earres Prince

Recorded in New York City on August 19th 1925 featuring Perry Bradford director, Sippie Wallace vocals, R.Q. Dickerson cornet, DePriest Wheeler trombone, Rudy Jackson clarinet & soprano sax, and Earres Prince piano.

*"Parlor Social De Luxe" was composed by Parry Bradford.

Mrs. Beulah "Sippie" Wallace belts out this heart-felt rendering of a clever Perry Bradford original that is somewhat reminiscent of Andy Razaf's "Kitchen Man" as later recorded by Bessie Smith in the Spring of 1929.

I was surprised to find Earres Prince on this particular Okeh pressing; a pianist better known for his membership in "Andy Preer's Cotton Club Orchestra". The small accompanying group on this record is actually made up of some members of Andy Preer's band under the direction of Perry Bradford.
