Recorded in January of 1927 in Paris, France featuring Josephine Baker vocals, Leon Jacobs trumpet, Rene Lovinfosse trombone, ? Napolitano clarinet, alto sax, & violin, Oscar Thisse alto sax & violin, Marcel Raskin piano, Henri Durand bass, and Sacha Grauman drums.

*"Bye Bye Blackbird" was composed by Ray Henderson, with lyrics by Mort Dixon and published in 1926.

Following a successful European tour Josephine Baker broke her contract and returned to France to be a star attraction at Folies Bergères. There she would amuse receptive audiences singing and dancing topless, wearing a skirt made from only a string of artificial bananas.
