These two 1930's performance excerpts feature "Wizard of the Strings" Roy Smeck.


First in a excerpt from the late 1930's film short "International Rhythms" Roy Smeck plays "Farewell Blues" with his Aloha Islanders using an electric lap steel guitar.

The second film short opens with Roy Smeck demonstrating his versatility by playing "Park in Paree" on four different instruments. Then for his final feat of showmanship, with the help of his ingenious camera man (who's years ahead of his time), Roy plays "Farewell Blues" again, seen and heard on all four instruments simultaneously.
