This side was recorded in Chicago by pianist Will Ezell in 1928.

Following his final recordings in 1931 for the rapidly declining Paramount label he traveled down South to Louisiana where he worked for a time accompanying Clarence Hall. Records indicate that Ezell continued to reside in Chicago although he isn't remembered by anyone not even local musicians.
