In this rare 1964 film short Albert Nicholas (clarinet) is talked into a performance with young French clarinetist Pee Wee Bizouarn's jazz band on his day off.

The prominent New Orleans jazz-man Albert Nicholas moved to France in 1953. The country would become his permanent residence for the rest of his life. The celebrated clarinetist remained musically active, traveling to the U.S. to record in 1959.

Living overseas like his old friend Sidney Bechet, Albert Nicholas established a prosperous solo career that lasted right up until his September 3rd 1973 death.
