*"Jelly Bean Blues" was composed by Gertrude 'Ma' Rainey and Lena Arant.
The year following her recording debut in Chicago Ma Rainey traveled to New York where she recorded with members of the "Fletcher Henderson Orchestra", which at the time included Louis Armstrong.
