This recording was made in Chicago during August of 1925 featuring Bob Shoffner cornet, Jimmy O'Bryant clarinet, Lovie Austin piano & leader, and W.E. 'Buddy' Burton drums.

*"Don't Shake It No More" was composed by Thomas A. Dorsey.

A pianist who authored the songs found on numerous popular jazz and hokum records, 'Georgia' Tom Dorsey
left secular music altogether in the 1930's to devote his career to the Gospel.

Bob Shoffner had replaced Tommy Ladnier in Lovie Austin's "Serenaders" during the Spring of 1925.

By August, when this side was produced, Tommy Ladnier was in Stockholm introducing jazz to the locals
alongside pianist and bandleader Sam Wooding. -Bo Lindström
