This recording was produced in New Orleans on March 7th 1927 featuring Louis Dumaine cornet, Earl Humprey trombone, Louis James and Willie Joseph clarinet, Morris Rouse piano, Leonard Mitchell banjo, Joe Howard tuba, and James Willigan drums.

A well known local New Orleans cornetist Louis Dumaine was a member of the "Eagle Brass Band" with Kid Howard and trombonist Frankie Duson, and the "Tuxedo Brass Band" from the early to mid-1920's.
This side, representative of authentic New Orleans jazz, was collected by the Victor Company's mobile recording unit during a tour of the South.
