Kansas City Blues
Will Shade & Charlie Burse
Memphis Jug Band Memories
Will Shade (aka Son Brimmer) washtub bass, and Charlie Burse (aka 'Laughin' Charlie) guitar, perform the "Kansas City Blues" for their appearance on the 1958 television special "Blues Street".
In his own words Charlie Burse offers 'a little synopsis' of what music sounded like on Beale Street in Memphis during the 1920's. Accompanying him on the washtub bass is Will Shade a man who he performed along side as an original member of the "Memphis Jug Band".
