This recording was made by Sol Hoopii's Novelty Trio in Los Angeles, California on October 12th 1927 featuring Sol Hoopii steel guitar, Lani McIntyre guitar, and Glenwood Leslie ukulele.

Sol Hoopii is the most famous of the original Hawaiian guitarists and was a key figure in starting the lap steel trend of the 1920's. After his professional debut in Honolulu with "Johnny Noble's Orchestra", Hoopii made his way to San Francisco as a stowaway on an ocean liner when he was seventeen. Later settling in Los Angles he would form his "Novelty Trio" in 1924.
