Feat. Johnny Dodds

Recorded in Chicago on July 13th 1926 featuring George Mitchell cornet, Kid Ory trombone, Johnny Dodds clarinet, Joe Clark alto sax, Lil Armstrong piano, and Johnny St. Cyr banjo.

*"Mad Dog" is credited to Lil Hardin Armstrong and Louis Armstrong.

The "New Orleans Bootblacks" (aka "New Orleans Wanderers") were a studio group made up of
Louis Armstrong's "Hot Five" minus their famous front man.

Beginning with a couple of enthusiastic slides from Ory's horn and they're off for this instrumental
romp filled out for the most part by the reeds of Joe Clark and Johnny Dodd's.
