*"Doin' Things" was written by Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang.

Joe Venuti along with his childhood friend and partner Eddie Lang pioneered the jazz string ensemble recording many hot instrumentals of their own composition throughout the 1920's.

Following Eddie's sudden 1933 death Joe Venuti gradually began to fade from the spotlight but he continued to work in music throughout the 1930's.

It was during this period that Joe would first travel outside of the U.S. to tour Europe.
