Don't Break Down
Blythe & Clark
Blythe's Final Session
Recorded in Richmond, Indiana on March 20th 1931 with Jimmy Blythe and Charlie Clark piano & speech.
The Charlie Clark heard on this record was actually Jimmy Blythe's cousin. Though Blythe was obviously the superior player the two pianists share stylistic similarities. This session was Blythe's last, three months later he passed away suddenly from epidemic Meningitis on June 14th 1931 leaving hundreds of piano rolls and a wealth of recordings in his wake.
