Chicago Stomp
Jimmy Blythe
"Blythe's Boogie Creation"
This beautiful piano solo was recorded by it's author Jimmy Blythe in Chicago during April of 1924.
This is generally considered the first recorded example of the Boogie Woogie piano style. Blythe's playing would have a deeply influential impact on the development of later pianists such as Pinetop Smith and Albert Ammons.
