Recorded in Chicago on May 16th 1928 featuring Jimmie Noone clarinet & vocals, Joe Poston alto sax & vocals, Earl Hines piano, Budd Scott banjo, and Johnny Wells drums.
The Apex Club where Noone's Orchestra performed was located on Chicago's South Side at 330 East 35th Street. From it's second floor address the club was also operated as a speakeasy from 1928 to 1930 when the bar was raided by federal agents and closed for the illegal sale of alcohol during Prohibition.
