This side was cut in New York City on May 1st 1930 with Jack Purvis trumpet, leader, & arranger, J C Higginbotham trombone, Greely Walton tenor sax, Frank Froeba piano, Will Johnson guitar, Adrian Rollini bass sax, and Charles Kegley drums.

*"What's The Use Of Cryin' Baby" was arranged by Jack Purvis.

Jack Purvis' Orchestra features some nice string work early on from guitarist Will Johnson, after which Adrian Rollini comes in on bass saxophone.

The easy going feel and moderate tempo are maintained for the duration of this beautiful piece of musicianship, brought to life by Purvis' trumpet.
