Born Isidore Kaufman in Syracuse, New York, Irving Kaufman was a prolific singer who got his start as a Vaudeville performer. He first recorded for Edison in 1914 and continued with subsequent releases under his own name and under additional pseudonyms. Kaufman would appear on a surprising number of records, remaining un-credited at times.
