A sensational find from the San Francisco Bay Area TV-Archive, this footage featuring the "George Lewis Ragtime Jazz Band" was filmed by CBS5 KPIX-TV in San Francisco in November 1953.

Following a brief interview by jazz historian and critic Phil Elwood, clarinetist George Lewis, and trumpeter Avery 'Kid' Howard, are joined by the band's other members: Jim Robinson trombone, Alton Purnell piano, Lawrence Marrero banjo, Alcide "Slow Drag" Pavageau bass, and Joe Watkins drums & vocals.
