*"Gambler's Blues" (aka "St. James Infirmary Blues") is an American folksong of unknown origin, though it has been at times credited to the Joe Primrose a pseudonym used by Irving Mills. The song was initially recorded in 1927 as "Gambler's Blues" by Fess Williams' "Royal Flush Orchestra" and was made famous on record by Louis Armstrong the following year.
