Recorded in Chicago during June of 1925 featuring Muggsy Spanier cornet, Guy Carey trombone, Volly DeFaut clarinet & alto sax, Mel Stitzel piano, Joe Gish tuba, and Ben Pollack drums.

*"Why Couldn't It Be Poor Little Me?" was composed by Gus Kahn and Isham Jones.

With a title differing slightly from that of the actual Kahn/Jones composition in order to avoid copyright issues "Bucktown Five" members return to the studio billed as a slightly larger assembly, "The Stomp Six".
