In an scene from the 1929 film "After Seben", 'Shorty' George Snowden and partner appear as 'Shorty Stump & Liza Underdunk' (couple #3 in the contest) to dance his famous Lindy Hop accompanied by the "Chick Webb Orchestra". To view the film "After Seben" in its entirety Click Here.
The final dancer is white vaudeville comic James Barton performing a talented eccentric dance in black face. He would go on to earn an Academy Award in the 1940's, for his role in "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn".
