Hoagy Carmichael

This recording was made in Los Angeles, California on May 11th 1942 with Hoagy Carmichael piano, vocals, & whistling, accompanied by Spike Jones drums.
*"Stardust" was composed by Hoagy Carmichael, with words by Mitchell Parish.
Hoagy Carmichael had begun writing the tune while he was studying law at Indiana University.
His initial instrumental recording for Gennett with "His Pals" in 1927 was an instant success.
With lyrics added by Tin Pan Alley songwriter Mitchell Parish in 1929, it went on to became one of the most recorded songs of all time.
