Herb Wiedoeft and his Orchestra
Feat. Clyde & Leon Lucas
This side was produced in New York City during January of 1928 with Herb Wiedoeft trumpet, Clyde Lucas trombone & vocals, Jesse Stafford trombone, Joseph Nemoli clarinet, Larry Abbott, Gene Rose, and Fred Bibesheimer clarinet, alto, & tenor sax, Vincent Rose piano, Leon Lucas banjo & vocals, Gerhardt 'Gay' Wiedoeft tuba, and Adolph Wiedoeft drums.
*"Rose Room" was written by Art Hickman and Harry Williams in 1917. The song was named after the Rose Room in St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco where Hickman's Orchestra was playing at the time.
The Wiedoeft Orchestra's rendition includes the tune's seldom heard vocal chorus "In Sunny Rose Land".
