"Directed by Harry Reser"
This recording was made in New York City on April 20th 1926 by "The Clicquot Club Eskimos" featuring Harry Reser banjo & director.
*"Lonesome and Sorry" was composed by Con Conrad and Benny Davis.
Beginning with their trademark jingle of sleigh bells it was with this Columbia Record that Harry Reser and his "Eskimos" would introduce the melody of this beloved torch song to the world.
The song was first recorded with vocals for Victor by "Jean Goldkette & His Orchestra" three days later on April 23rd 1926 performed as a duet between Carl Mathieu and James Stanley and released that July.
