Frisco Jass Band

The "Frisco Jass Band" was an early jazz/ragtime assembly founded by California saxophonist Rudy Wiedoeft in 1917 shortly after his arrival in
New York. In 1916 Wiedoeft had begun traveling East on a tour with Oliver Morosco's production of "Canary Cottage". The show opened at New York's Morosco Theatre on February 5th 1917.
