Feat. The Teagarden Brothers

The Jack Teagarden band perform Jelly Roll Morton's "Wolverine Blues" in 1951 featuring Charlie Teagarden trumpet, Jack Teagarden trombone & leader, Don Bonnee clarinet, Heinie Beau alto sax, Pud Brown tenor sax, Marvin Ashbaugh piano, Ray Leatherwood bass, and Ray Bauduc drums.

Brothers Jack and Charlie Teagarden burn up the screen with their red hot treatment of a Jelly Roll classic. Pianist Marvin Ashbaugh takes a astoundingly fresh solo for an old evergreen followed by a brief interjection from Pud Brown, finished out by Charlie. The camera returns to star and bandleader Jack Teagarden for a couple of fills flanked by the ensemble leading up to the grand finale.
