Following the performance of "Hal Kemp's Collegians" opening number a very "Collegiate" offering titled "I Don't Care" "master of the strings" Eddie Peabody takes over. Beginning with a rendition of the "new popular song" "High Up On The Hill Top" which Eddie explains he plans to play at the show that evening he soon launches into a virtuoso medley of songs. Up next he produces a Hawaiian guitar for an exhilarating run through the college fraternity favorite "Sweetheart Of Sigma Chi". Ever the consummate showman Eddie exhibits his remarkable abilities of interpretation with several variations on Irving Berlin's "Blue Skies" in the styles of various classical composers. In conclusion "Hal Kemp's Collegians Orchestra" are joined by Eddie Peabody on violin for the red hot performance of that brand new "Hotsy Totsy" fox-trot called "Gloriana". -Matt Chauvin
