Love Will Find A Way
Eubie Blake
From "Shuffle Along"
Eubie Blake performs his hit song "Love Will Find a Way" in 1978, at the age of 95.
Eubie Blake was a child musical prodigy who first gained recognition in 1907 when World Champion boxer Joe Gans hired him to play ragtime piano at Gans' Goldfield Hotel, Baltimore's first 'black and tan' club.
His musical revue "Shuffle Along" co-written with Noble Sissle premiered in June 1921. It became the first hit musical on Broadway written for a black audience by an African-American composer and introduced the hit songs "I'm Just Wild About Harry" and "Love Will Find A Way".
