Born in Long Beach, California on August 31st 1969, Evan Christopher is a clarinetist and composer who plays in traditional styles of jazz with an added touch of his own. Currently based in New Orleans he is a passionate devotee to the sounds first introduced by legends including Johnny Dodds, Lorenzo Tio Jr., Sidney Bechet, and Omer Simeon as leader of the "Jazz Traditions PROJECT", "Django à la Créole" and "Evan Christopher's Clarinet Road".
