Memories Of You
Eubie Blake & Alberta Hunter
"Memories of Eub"
Eubie Blake (piano) is serenaded by Alberta Hunter (vocals) as part of a television special honoring his lifetime of musical achievements in the early 1980's, filmed shortly before his death in 1983.
"Memories of You" was composed by Eubie Blake, with lyrics by Andy Razaf.
Fellow entertainer and longtime friend Alberta Hunter takes an opportunity to sing Eubie Blake one of his very own compositions, eventually accompanied by his infallible piano. -Alberta would pass away the following year.
The song was first introduced by singer Minto Cato in Lew Leslie's Broadway show, "Blackbirds of 1930".
