This record was cut in Kansas City on October 28th 1930 featuring Bennie Moten director, Jimmy Rushing vocals, Ed Lewis and Booker Washington cornets, Oran 'Hot Lips' Page trumpet, Thamon Hayes trombone, Eddie Durham trombone & guitar, Harlan Leonard clarinet, alto, & soprano sax, Jack Washington clarinet, alto, & baritone sax, Woody Walder clarinet & tenor sax, Count Basie piano, Ira Buster Moten piano-accordion, Leroy Berry banjo, Vernon Page bass brass, and Willie McWashington drums.

*"That Too, Do" was co-composed by Bennie Moten, Eddie Durham, and Count Basie.

Co-composer and arranger Eddie Durham's guitar is prominent under the vocal. The two vocal choruses, each of which became separate titles under Basie seven years later, have a genuine jam session flavor, with only ED, Basie, Buster Moten and possibly Leroy Berry backing up Jimmy Rushing. Hearing it is like being a fly on the wall of an after hours jam in the mid-West of those days. -Dan Weinstein
