My Daddy's Growin' Old
Marjorie Royce
One Disc Diva
This side was cut in New York City on February 28th 1924 featuring Marjorie Royce vocals, accompanied by an unknown studio band.
Marjorie Royce cut two sides for OKeh in 1924 and nothing is known about her life. Earlier that year she had also made a test recording for Edison which was never released. In response to the success of singers such as Mamie Smith and Ethel Waters there record industry was always willing to record new talent. Yet many were never asked to return for a second session. All that remains to document Marjorie's singing career is one record.
