Recorded in Chicago on May 16th 1928 featuring Jimmie Noone clarinet, Joe Poston alto sax, Earl Hines piano, Bud Scott banjo, and Johnny Wells drums. (-This is the faster of two versions recorded on this date).

*"Every Evening (I Miss You)" was composed by Billy Rose and Jimmy McHugh.

From 1928 until 1930, when the establishment was closed down by federal agents, the Apex Club located on the second floor of 330 East 35th Street on Chicago's South Side severed as Jimmy Noone's base venue. Run by the Chicago mob headed by Al Capone and fueled by illegal sale of alcohol during Prohibition it was also Jimmie's best paying gig.
