Dick Hyman

Born in New York City on March 8th 1927 Richard "Dick" Hyman is a remarkable pianist and renowned expert on various styles from ragtime to jazz and beyond. He initally revived classical music training from his uncle the famed Anton Rovinsky and proceeded to discover and study the earliest periods of jazz on his own. During the 1960s, Dick became a regularly fixture of NBC-TV's weekly musical series "Sing Along with Mitch".
