*"Blue Blowers Blues" was composed by Curtis Mosby.

Curtis Mosby was a touring musician from Kansas City who took up residency in Chicago for a period in 1910s before moving Westward to California to find his fortune during the early '20s. Initially operating a record shop he organized a jazz band the "Blue Blowers" and in 1928 opened an L.A. nightclub called the Apex. Taking full advantage of his widespread connections Mosby promoted booking talent across the country. This first rate establishment located on Central Avenue featured dancing showgirls like the "Creole Cuties".
