This side was recorded in New York City in February of 1927 with featuring Floyd Rice trumpet, Bob Borger trumpet & vocals, Jack Fulton trombone, Fran Frey alto sax & vocals, Milton Neul clarinet & tenor sax, Bob Rice banjo & vocals, and Eddie Kilfeather piano, Jack Hansen bass brass, and George Olsen drums & leader.

*"Lucky Day" was composed by Ray Henderson, with lyrics written by Buddy DeSylva, and Lew Brown.

Beginning his career in Indianapolis with the "American Harmonists", alto saxophonist and baritone singer Fran Fray moved to New York where he performed on record and radio as a member of "George Olsen and His Music". In 1929 he also appeared as a member of the vocal trio in the hit Broadway musical "Good News".
