This side was cut in New York City on April 27th 1927 featuring Katherine Henderson vocals, Ed Allen cornet, Charles Irvis trombone, Arville Harris clarinet and tenor sax, Clarence Williams piano, Leroy Harris banjo, Floyd Casey drums.
Katherine Henderson was the niece of Eva Taylor and Clarence Williams and came under their wing when she settled in New York in the early '20's. Katherine was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1909 where her career in show business began as a small child working in minstrel shows and on the vaudeville circuit. Katherine started out occasionally substituting for Eva Taylor on local New York radio stations, eventually performing in the Clarence Williams' musical review "Bottomland" and several other theatrical productions.
