Candy Lips (I'm Stuck On You)
Clarence Williams' Washboard Four
Feat. Floyd Casey
This recording was produced in New York City on January 29th 1927 featuring Ed Allen trumpet, Bennie Morton clarinet, Clarence Williams piano & vocals, and Floyd Casey washboard.
*"Candy Lips (I'm Stuck on You)" was composed by Mike Jackson and Jack Laurie.
Clarence Williams performs with his "Washboard Four" on a recording which marked the debut of his newest washboard player Floyd Casey who was an accurate time keeper but no Jasper Taylor. One member contained within the group Bennie Morton was presumably a New York based reedman not to be confused with another local jazz musician, trombonist Benny Morton.
