Someday Sweetheart
Shake 'Em Up Jazz Band
Feat. Marla Dixon
The "Shake 'Em Up Jazz Band" perform at the old US Mint in New Orleans featuring Marla Dixon cornet & vocals, Chloe Feoranzo clarinet, Molly Reeves guitar, Julie Schexnayder double bass, and Defne 'Dizzy' Incirlioglu washboard.
We begin in a relaxed atmosphere in the mist of an open discussion between the band and members of their audience captured in a segment of cameraman Eliot Kamenitz's raw unedited footage.
Following this brief interlude of laughter the girls of the "Shake 'Em Up Jazz Band" quickly pull it together for the performance of a time honored classic credited to brothers John and Reb Spikes.
Marla Dixon is the featured vocalist for this number and through some impressive reed work Chloe Feoranzo still manages to make her presence very well known.
