Recorded in New York City on May 26th 1927 featuring Arthur Fields vocals, Frank Crush and Chelsea Quealey trumpets, Eddie Lappe trombone, Bobby Davis clarinet, alto, & soprano sax, Pete Pumiglio clarinet & alto sax, Sam Ruby tenor sax, Jack Russin piano, Adrian Rollini bass sax, Tommy Felline banjo, and Herb Weil drums.

*"Lazy Weather" was composed by Peter De Rose, with lyrics by Jo Trent.

Beginning with an opening phrase provided by the bass saxophone of Adrian Rollini other key points of this record include some nice trombone work from Eddie Lappe featuring a quote from "Swanee River". Thisten piece line-up has a plentiful sound facilitated through the redds of Bobby Davis, Sam Ruby and Pete Pumiglio all leading up to a pleasantly subdued vocal chorus from Arthur Fields.

A smaller version of the "California Ramblers" group had recorded the song with Arthur Fields for Harmony the previous day on May 25th 1927 billed as the "University Six".
