*"In a Mist" was composed by Bix Beiderbecke.

This is the only one of Bix Beiderbecke's piano compositions that he would ever record. He died alone four years later in his Queens apartment during an alcoholic seizure. In the last couple of years of his life Bix Beiderbecke was hard at work composing other pieces for piano, but never got the chance to record them.
