This side was cut in New York City on May 13th 1927 featuring Frank Trumbauer c-melody sax, Bix Beiderbecke piano & cornet, and Eddie Lang guitar.

*"For No Reason at All in C" was composed by Frankie Trumbauer and Bix Beiderbecke.

The intuitive piano of Bix Beiderbecke kicks off this original trio offering rapidly overlay-ed with the haunting sax tone of the tune's co-author Frankie Trumbauer. Eddie's guitar next emerges in all of its note-y beauty leading into an extended piano and string solo. Tram comes back in and Bix picks up his cornet for the first time on the record to play them out.
